If I could give zero stars I would. I was excited to try Dottie’s & I can honestly say never again. My seafood boil was the worse of York county. My sauce my bland, no flavor & greasy, my crawfish was dirty, squishy and the meat was mushy when the shell should be hard not squishy, my broccoli was extremely overcooked & soggy to the point you couldn’t even pick it up without falling into mush, my blue crab was extremely overcooked & dirty not worth the price or your hard earned money. That crab shack gotta go or yall just need new employees with proper training because that’s not it. Whole dinner went to waste so upset and extremely disappointed.

We were quite happy with our other crab place but they didn’t have any large on Saturday 7/18/26 So we tried Dottie’s for the first time. We order to pickup at 5:30 my wife arrived on time and after a 5 minute wait, (for other customers) the dozen X-Large crabs were in a bag and ready to go. They were Cold, mushy lack of flavor (sign of being steam and reheated) a few were not the normal size and/or weight to be considered X-Large. (Misgraded) Since we got 13 crabs I’ll pass on the 2 hollow ones. I have ate crabs my whole life, caught them, steamed them, seasoned them and graded them as crab room manager I know what I’m looking at but the very least you could have down was season them properly. The seasoning wasn’t enough or even damp from the steam it was dried and cooked on. If you are going to reheat already cooked crabs try not to let them get cold again and let us know what day you steamed them so we don’t keep them for 5 days thinking they are freshly steamed. In closing we saw your reply to another unsatisfied customer saying you could have exchanged them but then that throws off our plans for dinner and are you asking us to wait another 30 minutes and get a second ch

Love this place! Staff was so friendly! I ordered just a dozen crabs 🦀 and they threw me in some extra as well.. (very much appreciated ❤️‍🔥) Very well seasoned also. Will be returning! Oh and I also bought the cream of crab soup… AMAZING! 🤩 I am obsessed with this place!!!!!!

Absolutely love it here - Griffin always takes care of us! Griffin makes excellent recommendations, goes out of his way to answer your questions, and is always so personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the humpty lumpty deviled eggs!

Delicious crab balls! The Mac and cheese needs more crab and seasoning. I would come back again to try more of their menu. Great atmosphere and service. July 2026 Update: We ordered a 1/3lb crab cake to add to the mac & cheese. Unfortunately it still did not feel crabby. It still lacked seasoning and salt. The crab dip with pretzels was delightful. It was crabby and just what we were looking for. The crab balls are still our favorite item on the menu. The fried pickles were cut lengthwise then fried. It was lightly breaded. They were decent. We look forward to continue trying their expansive menu.
